URBANA, Ohio (October 19, 2012) - Just one week after finishing off the Falcons in five sets at Notre Dame College, the Urbana University volleyball team completed the season sweep with a straight sets victory over their future conference foes. The Blue Knights defeated the Falcons 25-11, 25-16, 25-23 to pick up their sixth win in their last ten matches. NDC falls to 4-19 on the season.
The Falcons made a late charge in the third set to make the match interesting, but a key ace by freshman Kaci Eurez returned the momentum to the home team. Freshman setter Mary Hendricks scored the game-winner on a sneaky attack on match point. Hendricks finished with 4 kills, 21 assists, 7 digs and 3 aces. Katlin Kremer (pictured above) hit .500, recording 6 kills on 12 attempts. The redshirt freshman also had a match-high 9 blocks, including 7 block assists.
