Two Late Goals Doom Women's Soccer at ODU

COLUMBUS, Ohio (September 5, 2012) - Host Ohio Domincan University kept the Urbana University women's soccer team winless thanks to an early goal in a 3-0 victory on Wednesday night.

The early Panther goal came off the foot of Jennifer Holton before the 10-minute mark.  The ODU defense made the goal stand, stopping all 4 of Urbana's shots.  The home team tacked on two more late goals to seal the victory.  Emily Spencer scored in the 89th minute and Laura Pratt added another in the game's final minute for the 3-0 final.  ODU keeper Laura Clark made 3 saves in goal to pick up her second shutout in ODU's second win of the season.  Urbana slips to 0-3 and 2-10 against the Panthers all-time, including an active 6-game losing streak.

Freshman McKensey Cross took 2 of Urbana's 4 shots.  Next, Urbana continues its 7-game road trip on Saturday afternoon at Mercyhurst University.  The Blue Knights and Lakers will kick off at 1:00 p.m. [Box Score]
