Women's Soccer Releases 2012 Schedule

URBANA, Ohio (March 20, 2012) - Urbana University Head Women's Soccer Coach Lauren Lewicki recently released the 2012 schedule.  The Blue Knights open the 2012 season with back-to-back games on Labor Day weekend.  Urbana hosts the University of Southern Indiana at nearby Wittenberg University on Saturday, September 1st at 1:00 p.m. in the opener, and 24 hours later, the Blue Knights open the 2012 season at home against Davis & Elkins College at 1:00 p.m.

For the first time since becoming an NCAA Division II institution two years ago, the Blue Knights will compete in a brand new conference in 2012.  The Great Midwest Athletic Conference, or G-MAC, begins competition in the fall after receiving NCAA approval this past winter.  Urbana's first G-MAC opponent is Trevecca Nazarene University out of Nashville, Tennessee.  TNU makes its first trip to Urbana on October 11th.

The post-season G-MAC tournament will take place November 1st and November 3rd at campus sites to be determined.
