McCubbin Leads Men's CC Pack at OWU

DELAWARE, Ohio (September 8, 2012) - On a record setting day for the Urbana University women's team, the men's cross country team also fared well at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational on Saturday morning.  With just 4 Blue Knights competing, Urbana was unable to field a team score in their first 8K of the 2012 season. 

For the second straight week, junior newcomer Dylan McCubbin led Urbana's pack.  McCubbin crossed the finish line in a time of 32:18.  He was followed closely by Blue Knight junior captain Patrick Malloy.  Malloy flirted with his personal best, finishing in 33:19.  Juniors Josh Brown and Ryan Castle rounded out Urbana's race with times of 34:51 and 35:14, respectively.  

The race was a great warm-up for Urbana's first competition at a G-MAC opponent's course.  Next Saturday, the Blue Knights travel to Cedarville University for their first of 3 races on the Yellow Jackets' course this season.  The race starts at 10:15 on Saturday morning. [Results]
