Toys for Tots Returns to UU

URBANA, Ohio (October 31, 2012) - The United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation will visit the campus of Urbana University on Thursday, December 5th this holiday season. Toys for Tots will collect toys and donations during the Blue Knights' home basketball doubleheader vs. Wheeling Jesuit University. The women's game will tip-off at 5:30 p.m., and the men's game is slated to start at 7:30 p.m. Free admission to both games will be granted to anyone who donates an unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more. Toys for Tots will also accept monetary donations, and anyone who donates at least $10 to the Foundation will also receive free admission.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. If you would like to donate to Toys for Tots, but cannot attend Urbana's basketball doubleheader on December 5th, please visit www.toysfortots.org to find out more about making a donation to a wonderful cause, or drop-off your donation or unwrapped gift in the athletic offices on the first floor of the Grimes Center.
