Dague Earns All-Conference Honors at G-MAC Championships [Stats Update]

The Urbana University men’s golf team put the finishing touches on the 2012-13 season on Tuesday afternoon. Competing in the program’s first conference championships since becoming an NCAA Division II institution, the Blue Knights finished third at the G-MAC Championships hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University at the Presidents Reserve Course at Hermitage in Old Hickory, Tennessee. Led by senior Mike Dague, Urbana posted team scores of 329, 334 and 331 on Monday and Tuesday to finish with a cumulative score of 994 at the 6,935-yard, par 72 course. Read More

New Richmond's Austin Wells to Golf for UU

Urbana University Head Men’s Golf Coach Jerome Armstrong announced an addition to the Blue Knight men’s golf team for the 2013-2014 season. New Richmond High School product Austin Wells will join Urbana on the course after completing a stellar prep career this past high school season.

Wells was a four-year letterwinner for the Lions where he played for Coach Phil Heflin. This past season, Wells finished third in the Southern Buckeye League with a 39.8 nine hole average spanning 153 holes. Ben Logan's Jordan Sosby Joins UU Golf Team

Benjamin Logan High School standout Jordan Sosby signed a letter of intent to play collegiate golf for Urbana University next fall.

During his high school career, Sosby has been named twice to the CBC 1st team and was named a team captain. He chose Urbana because it is a small campus, close to home, and he has a good chance of playing golf for Urbana right away. He plans to study sports management with a minor in marketing. Read More

Dague Deals 2 Rounds in the 70's to Pace UU [Stats Update]

The Urbana University men's golf team picked up a couple more wins on the spring season at the 50th Annual Spadafora Invitational hosted by Indiana University-Pennsylvania on Sunday and Monday. The Blue Knights followed Sunday's 316 with a 332 to tally a 2-day total of 648, finishing 13th in the loaded field of 15 teams.

Senior Mike Dague carded a pair of rounds in the 70's to pace the Blue Knights. Dague shot 77-79 for a 2-day total of +14, finishing 35th in the field of 78 golfers. Dague's 2 rounds in the 70's give him a team-leading four on the spring. Read More

Dugan Leads Blue Knights at Cedarville [Stats Update]

The Urbana University men's golf team continued to battle the elements this spring in its third tournament in the past two weeks. Playing in wind chills in the 20's on Thursday morning, the Blue Knights shot 337 behind Vince Dugan's team-low 80. The team followed that with an improved score of 321 in improved weather conditions on Friday. Adam Mitchley propelled the 16-shot improvement by trimming 12 strokes off his Day 1 score with a team-low 75 on Friday. The Blue Knights finished 6th in the field of 6 teams. Read More
