
Prep Notes: Stacy is a defensive specialist/setter from Groveport Madison High School. An outstanding student-athlete maintaining a 4.0 GPA, Stacy was named class Valedictorian, First Team All-OCC, Most Valuable Player (2008 & 2009), OHSVCA Scholar Athlete, and GMHS Scholar Athlete. The 4-year varsity letterwinner was also a member of the National Honor Society for 3 years, serving as the NHS President as a senior.
Personal: Stacy's career aspirations are to obtain a degree in Middle Childhood Education for Math and Reading/Language Arts and a certification as an Intervention Specialist for K-12. She is the daughter of Lori and Terry Smith and she has one sibling, Eric.
Why did Stacy choose Urbana University? "I chose Urbana because it seemed like the perfect fit for me. As soon as I stepped on the campus I felt right at home, how welcoming the students and faculty were and also the volleyball players."
Her thoughts looking toward her first collegiate season - "I am looking forward to my first collegiate season. My goal is to step on the court, give 100%, and help my team in being the best that we can be! I am so excited to start the season!"
Coach Cromer on Stacy: "Stacy is a great addition to the Blue Knight program. She can play many positions with our focus for her being setting and defense. Stacy works extremely hard and always has a positive attitude, putting the needs of her teammates before her own."
