Alicia Ware

Prep Notes: Alicia is a 6'3" center from Kenton Ridge High School where she played for Coach Ed Foulk.

Personal:  Alicia is the daughter of Valerie Powell and Kenneth Ware.  She will major in Athletic Training at Urbana University.

Coach Phillips on Alicia Ware:  "Alicia was one of our earliest commitments this spring and a very important signing.  Whenever you think of Alicia, you think of potential.  She has the potential to be a player of major importance and impact for us.  She has been busy doing the things that will allow her to begin to realize that potential.  Alicia has an abundance of natural physical talent.  She has great shooting touch, good footwork, and she's an awesome passer out of the post and a tremendous defensive presence.  Even more impressive is her knowledge and understanding of the game.   She has played for an outstanding high school coach in Ed Foulk at Kenton Ridge.  She played AAU basketball for a tremendous teacher of basketball in Bill Moss, here in Urbana.  I look for Alicia to have a very productive off season and be ready to compete in the fall.  We are fortunate to have Alicia choose Urbana University.  She has a great sense of community and will be a positive addition to our program in many ways."
