Coach Phillips on DeVonyea Johnson: "DeVonyea is a very impressive student-athlete.  She is a gifted basketball player, no question about it.   She has a real passion for the game and her work ethic is as good as anyone I've seen in a long time.   With her attitude and willingness to learn and develop, I know we have someone who is destined to become one of our brightest stars.   Coach Steve Vinson at Huron High School does an incredible job with his players.  He runs a very comprehensive program and DeVonyea comes to us well-prepared for college basketball.    I love DeVonyea's competitive nature and intensity she brings to the gym.  What is even more impressive and appreciated is that she a young woman of unquestionable character and values.  I know she will be an awesome teammate and friend.  I'm excited to see her in an Urbana uniform."

DeVonyea Johnson signs her letter of intent to play for Urbana University.
